Overview

A charitable trust for the community of the Haslemere area to enable voluntary community projects to be financed for all ages.

Why “Penny Ha’Penny”?

The last water carrier at the Haslemere Town well called Hannah Oakley used to charge a “Penny Ha’Penny” for a bucket of water.

She died in 1898 and it is a tangible part of the Town’s history that this charity commemorates her and will once again aim to satisfy the needs of the Town’s People.

Purposes
